i am sure there must be a dark side traits of this leader, every leader has them.

Well as far as "dark side" traits go:

Rumsfeld has been described as someone who never listens to experts. He goes by what he wants to do no matter what his top generals have told him. He is very easy to make mad in meetings when people tell him somthing that he doesn't want to hear.
I guess we could say Rumsfeld is fueled by his passion for "self". He looks inward and cares nothing for those even in his own cadre. Could Rumsfeld be a Sith? Yes, but I think he is not that cleaver of one. If he was really a good dark sider he could be running the country by now as president.

He is an evil man. Not trustworthy. He may turn on the Bush Administration, if the decision to resign was not his own.
Find out the reasons why private talks were held with Henry Kissinger from the Nixon-Watergate era, and then we may be able to find the answers we seek.
We will see how evil Rumsfeld is, when war crimes are investigated. Either by our own people or various countries around the world.

I have seen every time a "big -shot" gets fired from a government post or a high level official at the corporate level they always say something to the effect that " I just want to spend more time with my family"

Translation: I sure wish I had this job and I wish that what I did was not discovered.
