it should still be good for a couple years after you bought it, as long as it wasn't in the heat for a while. if the plastic got hot enough it could give off chemicals into the water that are very similar to formaldehyde.

yes and no.

yes:well you know how plastic is made form oil sooner of later the bottle will lose it's shape which means it's decomposing and particles will go into the water and the water can make you sick. the water might also taste funky depending on the plastic the manufacturers use.

no: i don't think it's legally called a experation date. but i'm not shure i know in some states and countrys have and experation date on there water bottles

hope helps!

well I know ours does in my country.. its printed right on the bottle.. 1 year from manufacturing.. Ive heard that sitting water can go stagnent, but if its sealed, I dont know.. I supposed its subject to heat, sun, and environmental conditions and the plastic can eventually break down and go into the water.. factoid.. all the water we use on earth is the same water from billions of years ago, just recycled, never any new water.. So we could be drinking recycled dinasaur pee... lol.. think about it..

Yeah, the dates are two years off from manufactuing in the US. It isn't like it spoils on you or anything, but it can start to taste like plastic after a few years.
