It would be the 2nd, of course! Birth order isn't as much about how many children your mother had (pregnant with) but your placement in the family as you grow up.

Second child. The aborted fetus isn't a child and never was a child. If you considered an abortion a child then, I who do not have children but, had an abortion, would be considered a mother and that is simply ridiculous.

Second child. There never was another. It was not born, it didn't exist as a child, only a fetus.
EDIT
I did not say it did not exist. Neither did I say "just a fetus" What I said was "It didn't exist as a child, only a fetus" Which happens to be true. While it was in this world, it was a fetus, period! I am a mother, and I have never had an abortion, but if I did, I would not consider the fetus that was aborted my child. It would be way too confusing. As you can see from this question.

Second sibling but third child. Shame on those you who said an aborted fetus never existed or that it is the same as having an appendix removed. A fetus is a child and anyone who is a parent should understand this. You would think anyone alive would understand this, I'd like to think we are all more than merely spare tissue that our mothers decided not to have removed.

My first child was aborted against my wishes. My daughter considers herself to be my second child because she has a brother or sister in heaven. Never say "just a fetus"! The abortion took place over 25 years ago. I still feel that pain. Just a fetus. No one who has suffered that pain could ever say those words.

The baby you killed doesn't count as a child anymore. The second child is the second child.

second, the middle one never existed. at the point of abortion it was no different from having ur apendix or something like that removed.
