I'd show up as long as everyone else was given the gift as well. Then I'd offer to drive people who didn't have a way of getting there to ensure that everyone had a chance. However, if God only gave this opportunity to a certain group of people, who lived in a certain area or time, and everyone else had to suffer horribly, I would pass up on the chance.

And it came to pass that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath: and his diciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn. And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful? And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had a need, and was anhungered, he, and they that were with him? How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests and gave also to them which were with him.AND HE SAID UNTO THEM. THE SABBATH WAS MADE FOR MAN, AND NOT MAN FOR THE SABBATH; THEREFORE THE SON OF MAN IS LORD ALSO OF THE SABBATH. Mark 2:23-28
SHOWING UP ON THE SABBATH IS NOT A NECESSITY TO RECIEVE ETERNAL LIFE. IF YOU THINK IT IS YOU ARE VERY MISTAKEN. SHOW US WHERE IT SAYS THAT TO INHERIT ETERNAL LIFE YOU HAVE TO SHOW UP ON THE SABBATH.

He did offer you eternal life!
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
You will show up for it!
Hebrews 9:27-28
And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment, 28 so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.

I would not want eternal life on earth, since there are so many physical limitations. I rather do my purpose (worship God alone for his pleasure) and then wait for the reward.

Since the end result would be the most important thing in the world to me... I'd spend alot of time reading and re-reading that letter He sent me to make sure I had it right.
Whenever someone would try to tell me their opinion of it, I'd re-check my letter to make sure. If they were mistaken, I'd try to point it out to them in my letter from God. If they wouldn't see it correctly, I'd still like them, but have to do what I knew was in the letter.

I'd rather have the FREE GIFT of donuts! If you time it right, you can get free donuts from the donut shop after they bake a new batch and the old ones are about to be thrown away!
