i've been an amateur kickboxer for over 2 years now, and i was advised just recently by my trainer that i should start shaving at least my chest to help my body dissipate heat better. i'm not sure if it is just an urban legend or something, but it did seem to work a bit.

The problem now has come up in the last month and a half or so. I've been getting raised red bumps on my upper chest that I can't seem to make go away. They're not really painful or anything, but they are kind of emberassing. If anyone has any tips or ideas, I'm willing to try just about anything.

Tend Skin. It's the best product in the world. I think you can find it at Sephora.

I have found using a shaving cream in a warm shower with a razor designed for sensitive skin helps. There is also a couple products available over the counter that are made to keep you from getting razor burn after you shave. You can find these in a drugstore pretty easily. Also, you might want to try a hydracortisone product if you do get the bumps to keep the itching down.

There is also a product manufactured by Serious Skin Care to remove hair from the body. It's called Liquid Laser and can be found on hsn.com - there is also a regrowth inhibiter you can buy from the same product line. Take a look at their kit.

Hope that helps.

I used to get the little bumps and dry patches....a friend told me to use hair conditioner when I shaved and that would keep the skin from getting irritated as such no little bumps or dry patches...I use a conditioner for hair moisturizing and it works...good luck

The little bumps could be an indication that you're shaving too often and that the razor is irritating your skin

Shave using Sorbolene cream. You get it from the pharmacy.
It is really thick, but you can mix it with a little water to dilute it. I recommend this cream for shaving and moisturizing as it is brillliant for sensitive skin. Its really cheap too!
