“I just want to get everyone home,” she said. In the past several weeks, Captain Bagley, 30, barred her troops from foot patrols in the most violent neighborhoods and eliminated all nonessential travel. “I’m just not willing to lose another soldier,” she said.

it appears we have another Hanoi Jane on our hands.or another Tokyo rose, don't kid your selves the American troops are in Iraq and they are doing the job they are supposed to do, so don't try spreading this kind of junk around it won't work as any one who has been in the military will know different, maybe some of these Lilli livered civilians will believe it but not many of them Will, at least not the real men, and this wussies Capt should be relieved of command if she made such a statement, and will be. war is not for the wussies unless it comes home then even the wussies will learn to fight or die,and if we don't win in Iraq then they will be here for us to fight on our own soil, our people know this so make up your mind do you want to fight them there or here one thing is for sure we will fight them, they have already attacked America several times will your kids or parents wife , girl Friend or you be killed in the next attack?keep listening to these **** heads and you will get the opportunity to fight here,
so call your congress man and demand that we let our men fight these monsters there on their own ground and kill their own people not ours, and to the hell with P.C. lets kick some butt ,

Some commands won't do too many patrols within the final days of a deployment. And I'm not sure how many troops this female "Captain" has under her since we don't give command of combat arms units to females. That only leaves MPs and even then we're talking a limited number of troops.

The article is said to be from New York TImes (obviously anti-Bush and anti-FIGHTING TERRORIST SOMEWHERE ELSE) and is biased.
The article was written to make it seem she was disobeying orders. Many units suspend missions at 30 days out to get ready for redeployment back home and to ready the unit that is replacing them.
Please use caution when reading stories online (including here) because it is easy to produce a website.
