Sounds like you have an infection or you may be getting an abscess. You should pay an emergency visit to your Dentist as soon as possible.

The reply about the tooth no longer having a root is absolutely correct! I had a pulpotomy a few months ago, had the root canal 2 months ago and I am waiting for a short time to get a crown. Maybe that's what your problem is. You maybe were supposed to get a crown and now the tooth that has become brittle has broken? I think you'd know that, though. My co-worker had severe tooth pain, then her tooth broke off, and she hasn't had any pain since then. So watch out! Your tooth breaks...big problems and lots of MONEY! I think you have to get a bridge. Best answer is to go to the dentist because it's only getting more costly the more time you wait and if you live in Miami, Dr. Segal in Aventura is the best!

See a dentist! Delay could cost you this tooth.

Either the filling material is damaged or you have an infection. Since the tooth main nerve is destroyed in a root canal infection or some irritant is more likely.
Hurting for three days does neither you nor the tooth any good. I know you dread the visit, but go, please!

It can not be the tooth as you don't have a root in it anymore. Maybe you have an infection in the canal, it happened to me when they clean the canal they are suppose to fill it out maybe the filling cracked or something. They had to remove the crown and everything for me.
Also maybe it is the tooth next to it, it is hard sometimes to tell for me anyways.

When in doubt go to the dentist, I am not one so...

Good luck I hate tooth problems.

I have had this similar issue and that i talked to my common dentist about it for the duration of one among my checks. He gave me my xrays (which like yours confirmed really no an infection or root remnants) and informed me to flow see an endodontist which i am going to do in January. honestly i imagine my first endodontist screwed up yet i won't be able to instruct it yet. I hate to ***** about one well-being care specialist to a special yet I even ought to attempt this to make sure why my teeth throbs and delivers me soreness after a root canal and (of route) a gold crown replaced into placed on it.

maybe the first time around the dentist failed to take care of all the roots. Or, sometimes it is another tooth hurting but the pain radiates there. For now take some Advil or motrin and go see your dentist tomorrow.

ROBIN,
I'M SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THIS SITUATION. ONE THING THAT MAY HAVE HAPPENED IS THAT THIS TOOTH MAY HAVE A ROOT FRACTURE. ONE OF THE EASIEST FOR YOU TO TELL IS TO TRY TO MOVE THE TOOTH WITH YOUR HAND TO SEE IF IT MOVES.IF THERE IS PAIN DURING THIS MOTION SUSPECT A ROOT FRACTURE.
THE DENTIST HAS MORE TESTS TO SEE IF IT'S A ROOT FRACTURE. IF IT NEVER HURT BEFORE THIS, THEN THIS MAY BE THE CASE.
