It depends on your unit. We get plenty of training and time on the ranges. They can vary in style, from KD Ranges, to MOUT Live Fire, to standard marksmanship ranges. I've been in some units though that will go to a range once a year though. If you are in a support unit, chances are that the money for ammo and ranges wont go to you, but to the combat arms.

your right. my husband is a training nco and there are quite a few soldiers in his unit that are not qualified on their weapons. going to the range twice a year does not make one proficient at using their weapon. i'm not sure why the soldiers don't go more often. they do train up a bit more before they deploy.

First, they have spell check on here, use it.

Second, most places require that they qualify twice a year. I get plenty of practice.

That's "enlisted" by the way. Those who are smart go to the range regularly. Marksmanship skills are highly stressed in the Marines; but sadly lacking in the other services.

Yup. That's why you have to qualify at the rifle range at least once a year.

Practice what you preach. Try a remedial English course at your local community college so you can be proficient in our language.

What the hell are you talking about. I got plenty of target practice and I was an enlisted man.

Good one POLARIS.

English please & they do. Practice ranges are used to practice shooting. My son & nephews are sharp shooters thanks to these ranges.
