Are scientists unhuman?
Without science and scientists, we wouldn't have many of the luxuries or life-saving medicines, hospital equipment, or lip balm that we all take for granted. If we are to stop trusting science, we are to all become Amish and farm with scythes and grow really long beards and make our own clothing. Which I am not comfortable with. I like my computer and my facial wash that is not made with Lye and Lard, and my deodorant.
It's PETA whom I wouldn't trust!

You can trust a scientist as much as you can trust a Mechanic, a doctor, or the girl next door. He's just another part of your neighborhood.

Well, I can't tell you how to feel, but I will say that science is defined as an aid in the study and survival of human kind as well as life on earth, earth, the universe, other life and their solar systems.

Here's my case against scientists.

In California, there is a crack in the Earth called the San Andreas Fault.
Where they have been expecting a major quake for a long time.
!00 miles away in Nevada. "Scientists" were detonating multi-kiliton
nuclear devices "underground" for decades!

I rest my case.

When you challenge a scientist to demonstrate his claims, he can.
When you challenge a godbot to demonstrate his claims, he can't.

When a scientist has been shown he is wrong, he changes his argument to fit the evidence.
When a godbot has been shown he is wrong, he ignores the evidence that doesn't fit his argument.

Who _would_ you trust?

Yes, you can trust scientists, just not trust the companies they work for!

Given that scientists are themselves human, I'd say they are as trustworthy as any other human who has expertise in a given field.
