look at it, for the Cat's sake. See any vaccume hoses running to it?

listen it does use a vacuum modulator, but it is only function is to raise and lower line pressure This trans also uses elec solenoids to shift it. 4T65-E used in later models did not have a modulator it used electronic PC solenoid to reg pressure.

i own a repair shop,and they don't use a modulator any more,there all computer controlled now,and this one has a shift solenoid on it to help it shift ,and also a throttle pressure control cable also that helps govern the way it shifts,,but no more modulators,if its shifting bad it might be time for a good fluid and filter change on it ,this may help it some,,good luck,i hope his help,s.,and happy Thanksgiving.
