I have a mate with an old car that has been done up with a body kit, but he wants to have an intercooler showing, BUT he doesnt want the turbo in yet due to insurance. Is it possible to install a working intercooler without the turbo? NO this mate is NOT me!

Yes, it is easy enough and still functional. Many of the top speed racers that go to Bonneville run an ice box to help keep the horsepower up. Whatever you do to keep the intake air colder is a good thing.

Inter coolers aren't necessary, but they lower the temp of the compressed air. So they help a lot.
