I would say so.

It's been shown as well that seniors who have pets live longer. Whether it's the social aspect or having the responsibility of caring for them, I don't know.

Yes...it can prolong your life even after your death. When u r involved in social activities and achieve some goals, your name would be sure there for atleast a couple of decades. Like Mother theresa, M.K. Gandhi...they are physically no more. But still they r alive.

You will stay in an environment as long as you have an agenda. Thats why a lot of people die two weeks after retirement. If you have family, freinds or some sort of agenda, you probably will live longer.
