It's not a religious holiday, and until 5 minutes ago I was under the assumption that you celebrated it. Will you give me some insight, please?

Thanks.

So you read my answer, didn't you? Thanks...

We don't celebrate it coz our Great Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) didn't celebrate it, so as his followers, we don't celebrate it too.

If we'd like to thank to God, we dont have to wait until thanksgiving or other holidays. We can do that in our Shalat, in our pray, or by sharing with the others, at anytimr

You are right, we must thank GOD for all HE has given us.

Thats what exactly we do, not just once a year or once a day. Infact every action of ours , be it eating, drinking, sleeping etc will be an act of thanksgiving or will be a reward if we do as is commanded by the Prophet Muhammed (Peace Be Upon Him).

Why?

GOD says in the Quran, that the Prophet (PBUH) does not say anything from his mind, instead its a revelation that is sent to him by GOD. Therefore, we follow GOD's instructions and are obedient to HIM. What can be more thanksgiving when you follow each and every instruction of your SUSTAINER?

A mere folding of hands and a small prayer, then living our lives without the commandments of GOD, doing all sorts of evil action, will not be considered as thanksgiving at all.

Actually, it is a Christian holiday and it is an American holiday that celebrates the survival of white, puritanical settlers in the "New World".

We praise the Lord every day, if not every hour. When someone says: how R U? we say: alhamduli Allah. It means: thank God or praise the Lord. We don't say: I'm fine, just "thank God". Do U how many time we thank God? We don't need a meal with nice looking turkey to say "thank God".

I'm pretty sure that the Pilgrims landed in America and not the Middle East. Why would they celebrate it? I don't understand why you're asking this question. I know that some Muslims in America do celebrate it. I know some Americans who don't.

we don't bcuz we already give thanks to god over 18times in our prayers daily ,don't need a special day for thanks to him bcuz all our days r thanks to him

what we read in our prayers....
1:1] In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
[1:2] Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds;
[1:3] Most Gracious, Most Merciful;
[1:4] Master of the Day of Judgment.
[1:5] Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek.
[1:6] Show us the straight way,

[1:7] The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray.

thats what we say 4 times in some prayes x3 and 2 times in a prayer and 3 times in a prayer...sorry thats 18 times not 30...and thats the least when we do pray more we give thanks more
