I've actually met up with some guys who I chat w/ online but not like a date or anything. But it wasn't random, it was like this network thing online for an organization we're all a part of, so they seemed credible.
I met them at the mall b/c theres tons of people there.
So make sure to meet him at a crowded place, and be very careful, don't go anywhere alone w/ him. Just meet him at a resteraunt, mall, etc., hang out and go home!!
I must warn you it is pretty ackward meeting someone you've only chat w/ on the internet. You envision someone and then the person you meet might not fufill your expectations!

I would meet him in a public place and see what kinds of feelings I get- you just don't know someone from chatting on line- it could all be a big put on- and don't give him your addres or anything else too personal until you get to know him better- play it safe- even a double date with another couple you know would be a good idea- D

meet in a public place that you are familiar with. always have a back up plan if the date turns sour. always carry your cell phone and maybe bring some mase. be careful girly

Suggest places that you familiar, and maybe date during the day. Let your loved one know where you will be. Take care !

Just be careful, take your celular on hand, tell somebody where you will be, a friend, mother...and as soon as you get the place you go with him, try to call to someone to let her/him know where you are...
