Treasury is correct but they usually work very close with the FBI as the DOT does not really have any policing powers. The FBI usually does the investigation and field work. Then again, it depends too on the jurisdiction of the crime. Most forgers and counterfeiters are picked up by local police and charged with state crimes until the dollar amount reaches a certain amount. The correct place to look is in the state statutes of your home state.

Well, according to the movie, it's the FBI. But I suspect it is now the Department of Treasury who hunts counterfeiters, but the FBI would still be the ones after forgers.
