Would never do that, it is cruel and cold. If I like someone then they will know it, as I like to be foreward, and if I'm not into someone then I'll be gentle in telling them, many of my close friends are girls that I lked as friends, but was not into for any other reason.
If a guy did this to you then he is a jerk and isn't worth your time anyway. Some people think playing with others emotions is fun, but it isn't and it can cause a lot of pain, so that makes them idiots. Look for someone who really cares and forget this guy, he's not worth a moment of your time...there are plenty of others who will be nice to you.

I have had this happen to me twice on here. It wasn't like I was doing it intentionally or anything. I tried giving both guys a equal chance, but when they realized my restrictions they both got ticked off at me. But I really can't help it that I can't call Canada for one or have the other move in with me since I live with my parents. My parents have me on lockdown, and they weren't understanding that, it was quite retarded because one called me hitler and said he was going to commit suicide over me and the other one called me a b**** twice because he says that I want this and that about a guy but never him. To be honest I don't know why guys act this way or try to mess with girls either. But I know I wasn't deliberately trying to hurt anyone, though they were reading too much into what I said quite a bit of the time.

I think a guy is doing that to me now, actually. I don't know. Maybe it feeds their ego, they just want to see if they can get the girl, they don't actually want the girl. It is some kind of perverted game.
I hate to think someone would just play with your feelings that way, but some people are immature. It's not nice to fool with people's hearts.

I did it once... not to messed up intentionally but because the guy was a friend of mine and I was trying to reject him in a nice way like telling him he's great and I like him and all but I couldnt because I wasnt over my exbf for example... bad idea he just kept on hitting on me and at the end I had to be straight and hurt him more :-s
But in guy's case... I think guys flirt sometimes unintentionally or just for a ego thing to know someone likes them... I dunno

Yes I have, and I'm not really all that proud of it.
I think I did it because I liked feeling like a queen, because that's how he treated me. I didn't like him like he liked me, but I let him think I did because I loved the way that he made me feel. He would've done anything for me, and I would've let him.
Another time, I let a guy think I liked him because he was my boss and he gave me stuff and uhh...he was the boss. But that's an entirely different story and one that I definitely feel bad about now, lol.

Everyone does it. A lot of us do it unintentionally but some are just bored/horrible and do it for fun.

Maybe you are misreading friendliness for attraction.
