i kiss my bird andn sometimes he's ok with it and other times he'll fly away from me or go to my mom if shes in the room.

No bird likes to be kissed, that's a human trait. They just put up with our nonsense. They do like the back of their heads scratched or blown on.

Sometimes birds might be a bad day. he got up the wrong side of the perch, they like some people better

If your parakeet has had a lot of activity during the day, they want to rest and not be bothered. If I don't spend enough time with my tiel, he says issy, issy, flies to my shoulder and, I pick him up and kiss his beak. Pet birds do to like to be kissed!!!

Maybe it's your breath. Birds can sense your foulness sometimes, you know. Try getting a breath mint before kissing your bird. XD
