No too sure about findings, but a new product invention, or an advanced product already on the market, Pfizer won't be the only company that would want to buy you off. For example, if it is a finding for diabeties, the National Diabetes Foundation may help you.
However, before you make any move, be sure you have protected your idea/finding via copyright. You should also speak with an Attorney, for laws in your area regarding Fair use - which may apply to medical discoveries.
There are many companies e.g. Davidson's, Invention Submission Coroperation that can help you get you "findings" patented, but even still, do not make a move until you have done something to protect it. I am ashamed to say, but there are a lot of cruelty going on in this business; you can submit a product, the company will act as if they don't want it, but the moment you walk out the door, someone WILL steal you idea, the product gets promoted on a national level, before you even walk out of the door - and they will make trillions of dollars.
One idea that I learned from an Attorney is to put all of the details of your product, samples, and noterize the information. Place the phototype in a package, along with details and take it to you nearest post office. Mail everything certified mail - to yourself/your home address. When the package arrives back to you, you sign for it. Once you have signed, DO NOT open it, leave it sealed. If any thing was to ever happen and you had to go to court, you can take that package and say, "you honor, here is a certified package that I mailed to myself, blah, blah, blah.
After you do this, however, you should take your findings to Service Corps Of Retired Executive (SCORE), a free service of the Small Business Administration. They are honest and they have always helped me, step by step.
One of the first thing they are going to tell you is to develop a phototype (a working model) of the product. You will have to find a way to get this product manufactured.

Have Pfizer already done this? Most major companies have a vested interested in keeping people sick. There is more money to be made from peddling the drugs that tackle the symptoms as opposed to those that cure the illness. If the illness is cured there is no more market for those particular drugs. And the old guys in the suits cannot afford the upkeep on their town house, country getaway, the wife, kids and the mistress plus any money laundering or share fixing they have been indulging in. If you have a cure, go to the press!

You think it's that easy to find the cures they have found? They don't have to buy people off.
