I just got one today, and the top 'ball' is not directly overtop of the bottom one. The top one is a little to the right of the center of my midsection..

I don't know if I should keep it in (since it's not perfect, will it bug me forever), or if I should take it out and try again, but warn the person first that I want it perfectly centered, and 'up and down'.

What are your opinions (I AM going to have one regardless of which way I do it).

Make sure that the jewelry is not resting in the piercing crooked, often this will give the illusion of a messed up piercing.

If you are unhappy with it, tell the piercer that you do not like the job they have done (not to piss them off, but to show them that they didn't do their job). They may or may not refund your money (if it were me, I would).

If you take it out now, keep the area clean overall and wait 6-12 weeks before repiercing. Keep in mind you will have scar tissue and it will be harder to repierce and more painful. Scar tissue can also effect how straight a piercing comes out, so don't be shocked if it migrates or ends up crooked.

When you go to have it repierced, let them know that it was crooked before and that there is scar tissue. Hopefully they will be better at their job and account for those issues and you'll get a straight piercing. Good luck

You should probably take it out and try again, but wait a while for this one to heal a little more first. Just to warn you though, you are quite likely to have a little scar from the first attempt.
