A diamond ring, just out of the blue?? Does it mean he sees the relationship going somewhere?? He didn't propose. What could he have meant?? He is 18 I am 17.
Should I tell him, I don't think we are serious?
Should I wait to tell him I cheated on him??
We have talked about our possible future but I thought we were kidding.
What is it all mean??/??

I would wonder why just like you are now... wow, with no reason at all. Just ask him, I guess. That's what I would do.

If you don't see it as a serious relationship then come out & tell him so now, because he obviously thinks that it is. It's probably going to hurt him (you can tell this by how he's bought you a ring - he really cares for you & wants to be with you!) but I wouldn't tell him you cheated, depending on when you cheated & how often - he doesn't need the extra heart ache.
If you cheated recently, you could just say 'I'm really sorry but I can't take this ring... I was with someone else a few weeks ago & don't see us going any further.'
(Something like that anyway).

Oh so now you do love him? You just said you didn't think you guys were serious?!

But, if you are definitely serious about him & do love him, you have to tell him the truth. & tell him you've just realised that now -because when you love someone you don't cheat.

It sounds like he wants the relationship to be more serious than it is now. I think you owe it to him to be honest and forthcoming with him about your cheating. If he wants to still have a future with you then at least everything is out in the open and you can have a future without wondering if he'll find out later. Talk to him and find out what he thinks your future holds. If you don't see it going any further, you need to tell him before he does propose to you. Don't break his heart!

Well, I think a ring is a big statement with or without a proposal. I haven't seen the ring though so I don't know if it's an engagement ring or a fashion ring....but either way I think maybe you should ask him why he decided to give it to you. Let him know you like him, but that the ring made you think maybe he was wanting something from the relationship that you aren't ready for. Be prepared....it's probably going to be an uncomfortable conversation, but it's worth it to know where you all stand.

He's very serious about you. If it doesn't mean engagement, it's probably a promise ring. He sees you guys going somewhere! Definitely tell him everything.

Don't be cruel and break his heart. Stop cheating on him from now on. Have some conscience. It depends whether you want to get serious..if not, break him all you want.

is it real?
tell him every thing, give the ring back and if he still wants you after what you did then he can give it to you.

Ask him what the ring means to him. He obviously gave it to your for a reason, so ask him what that reason is.
