Can anyone tell me about the natural foods diet? I'm not interested in it because it will help with weight loss (although it's a plus), but because I've always been into the whole "going natural" thing. By natural I mean unprocessed, organic, ect. I can't seem to find too much information about it so anything you know would be great.
I am only asking for facts and information on the natural foods diet, or something simular, not an alternative, or a way to lose weight.
Thanks :)

Well, eating an all natural diet helps your body stay alert, it is supposed to give you energy, and a natural foods diet isn't necessarily just like fruit. It is vegetarian food, like whole wheat bread, try to use more whole wheat products for the diet, also a salad, without any meat. Also salad is only organic when you use minimum salad dressing, a little bit of italian or red wine vinagrette is alright I guess. But, it keeps you healthier I guess.

It's hard to go completely natural unless you have an organic food store near you. Just try to shop in the organic section of your local grocery. Another good option is local produce stands.
Organic foods are better for you because even after washing produce there can still be chemical residue. A lot of fruits and veggies are dyed and/or coated in wax to make them look more appealing (ie oranges aren't usually "orange") and the dyes and wax don't come off with washing.
Personally I think organic foods taste better....especially true for dairy products

I just know that eating only organic has given me a life. There are lots of books and information on eating naturaly but not necessarily organic. After a lot of reading and a lot of self learning, I have come to the point where I just shop at organic outlets and only supermarkets that stock organic. I don't read books anymore, I let my body and my senses guide me. The health benefits are amazing and keep getting better.

Not that I know anything about the natural foods diet, but if you're willing to shell out the money for more expensive produce, then go for it. The best place for natural foods in my estimation is Trader Joe's, but of course, organic things can be found in your local grocery store.
Just type in "natural foods" in a search engine. It's not that hard to find them.
