I have had a headace since saturday night, that won't go away. I have taken tylenol, ibueprofin, and have done pressurepoint massages. What can I do to make the headace go away??? I need to think clearly and I am too distracted by pain.

Drink lots of water, eat food, nutritious food. Sometimes people dont drink or eat and that in itself causes headaches as your brain doesn't have the nutrients or fluids it needs. Sometimes it's the weather. Maybe you have a sinus infection. Try this, get a small towel, wet it, wring it out, and put it in a plastic bag and into the microwave for 2 minutes...make sure it's not TOO hot...lie with it on the back of your neck where your skull meets your spine..or lower if there is tension...massage that area up and down your neck while you lie on that. Press the balls of your thumbs under your eyebrows where your nose and eyebrow meet...you'll know the spot...it feels good. Take two Tylenol before you start all this...and lie in total silence and massage away whereever it feels good and just lie in the silence and every time you exhale...picture the pain flowing out of your head. That is how I get rid of my monstrous headaches when I get them. Good luck. See a doc if they persist. It could be something more serious going on.

Sometimes headaches come from emotional sources - are you able to backtrack what was going on that was causing the emotional pain in the head? Did you have an argument, with someone close, what was it about, does it need clarification to resolve a little of what didn't happen, etc...? Thinking through an issue doesn't mean analyzing till you para-lyse or get so upset you cannot let it rest till the issue is taken up again.

Well I think everyone has had these from time to time. I have heard when you have taken the head ache pills then you should try to taking something for the sinus maybe allergy's. But if if it feels better when you rub the back of you neck then I would say it is stress, May just what you need is a good cario pract, I need this sometime just to put everything back into lineament.

You can develop an analgesic headache from taking too many painkillers so it may be that they are making the problem worse. If the headache hasn't gone by Monday morning you should probably check with a doctor anyway but I would try drinking plain water and lying down in a darkened room and trying to sleep whenever possible.

The only thing that works for me when I've tried everything else is to use a super heavy duty vibrating massager on the back of my neck, my head, and my ears. Good Luck, I'm so sorry you hurt so bad. There is a new treatment for Migraines called Imitrex that my friend swears by, but it requires a Dr.s prescription.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information

Maybe try some chamomille tea. Sometimes that helps me with headaches. But if it is a migraine something different. I would suggest going to see a Dr. However 72 hrs the migraine will be gone.

if nothing really works and it keeps occuring you might have a sinus infection, i suggest going to the doctor and having him check it out, if he gives you anti biotics then you have a sinus infection, the anti biotics should work. it could also be stress or poor diet. try taking the day of and go to a spa or relax somewhere. if its your diet then start eating healthier, more friuts more water and more vegetable. also stay away from MSG products.
