A diamond ring, just out of the blue?? Does it mean he sees the relationship going somewhere?? He didn't propose. What could he have meant?? He is 18 I am 17.

Of course he sees the relationship going somewhere, unless he's independently wealthy. He probably just wanted to see how you'd react to it. Maybe he was afraid that if he proposed, you'd say no.

it could mean alot of things. you two are still pretty young, and even though some people actually marry their high school sweethearts...most dont. he most likely hopes your relationship is going somewhere, but dont trip about it too much just yet. ask him about it. see if it's a promise ring, or if he just wants people to know you're not available. guys can mean alot of things when they give jewelry, and girls over think EVERYTHING :)

Well you guys are too young to marry anyways....just take it as what it is a gift and enjoy it. If he wanted the ring to mean anything else then just a gift he would have told you

He obviously thinks you are serious, so if you think you are not maybe it is time to have a talk with him about this. Leading him on will only hurt him.
It seems like a sweet thing for him to do though.

That is something, if it wasn't for an anniversary or something, I would think that he is probably just really sweet and has enough money to do such nice things for you. Be lucky to have him, many girls can't even come close to having a guy like that at all.

it either means that he stole it from somewhere, or that he really likes you and he wants to tell you how much he loves you without actually saying it. Some men have a hard time expressing their feelings.

Maybe he just really cares about you but he's too nervous to ask you. It definitely shows that he cares a LOT about you so remember that in your times of doubt and it will help a lot.
