Ok, although I'm a loving follower of my Lord, I watched the video. I wouldn't advise it for anyone-- it is a bombardment of carefully twisted logic and assumptions that may cause you to doubt.

Apparently, their main point is that Jesus promised to do anything we ask, and since He doesn't physically appear when we ask, He's not real (actually it would just prove He lied, not that He wasn't real, anyway).

They do not seem to have considered the fact that some of the statements in the gospels were made to the apostles and were not meant to apply to all believers. The main verse they use is right after a verse that is almost exactly the same as a statement Jesus specifically made to Peter!

I'm not going to write out refutations of all of the video's points, but they are there. If you don't believe in God, than why are you so obsessed with proving He doesn't exist. All that it is possible to prove anyway is that some mistakes were made in translating the Bible. And the video doesn't come close to that.

I thank you for that site. It was quite informative. I especially like the reference of " the Bubble of Delusion ". It raise sever points I concidered valid. However, I don't entirely agree with it.

You see, Science is man's perception of the word around him in the from of credible observation and formuli. Consider this....

One day, in a far away kingdom, the ruler proclaimed that his kingdom is to extend to the star! The wizards, having great power and were loyal to the king, agree to make this happen for him. So, they pooled all their magic together and becan mixing a magic potion that would cause a great cauldron to fly through the air! They built a tiny shack atop this cauldron.

Once completed, they presented it to their king and he was please. He ordered a servent to entert the tiny shack, and mark a star as his kingdom. By his command, the servent did this. The wizards muttered mystical words and the Great Cauldron burned with a fire that rivaled the Sun! The tiny shack flew into the heavens and later returne back to the kindom.
Sounds too good to be true? It shouldn't. It's a paraphrase account of the space program.

The only thing that makes Religion seem delusional, is the fact that Science can't explain it yet. You see, sciense is having a hard time getting around the " Creation " or " where did it all start? " part.

I agree that fanaticism is bad for the community, and rational thought should be used. But I also understand that we haven't even begun to understand God's universe. The words he's given us is good advice that lasted through out the ages.

because most western religions are based on faith. the definition of faith in dictionary.com:

belief that is not based on proof.

so when you test thier faith they feel that they have to defend themselves when THERES NO PROOF TO DEFEND IT!! and the religious books provided by the religion such as the bible is no different from any other religious books because every other western religions book claims it is "THE TRUTH".

i dont know about the muslim religion as much so i wont pick on it...but the christians claim that the bible is historicly accurate when in fact most of the stories in the bible do not add up in correct order. like the great flood...the whole noahs ark story...realisticly that makes NO SENSE AT ALL. so 2 jaguars from south america traveled all the way to the middle east?? theres no way a jaguar can survive north american environment, or survive the cold asain/russian environment.

heres a link on "the god who wasnt there" movie. it explains how the story of jesus historicly is out of wack as well.

I watched the first video and that was enough. It was completely ridiculous, everyone knows that the Bible was written by men not God, men are biased and flawed, always will be. They based their entire argument on the Bible, which is not a factual history book.

I thought Atheists knew better. There are historical documents proving that Jesus existed, the idea of whether or not he was the son of God is what's up for debate.

It takes more then that to discredit God and religion...and you do know that Christianity isn't the only religion that worships God don't you? Doesn't sound like it.

It is impossible in principle to prove that any religion is correct, or more importantly, that it is not. From the latter, it can be proved that every religion is useless: they can offer no grounds from which predictions can be made. This does not prove that God is imaginary -- it simply shows that it is useless to believe otherwise.
