Yes, that is too early. That puppy will have 'adjustment' or temperment issues if removed from it's mother/littermates too early.
8-12 weeks is considered humane.

Yes it is still to early. It is a minimum of 6 weeks to let a pup leave the mom. It is best to wait until between 8-10 weeks of age. I know it's hard to wait. But it is amazing in the extra 2-4 weeks how much more the mother teaches the pups. It is a very important developmental time that a lot of people over look.
Check out the American Kennel Club. They have alot of good info for new puppies.

Yes, puppy is too early at 5 weeks. You can take them away from mum at 6 weeks, but I think it's preferred they stay with her until 8 - 10 weeks. Our dog had enough by 3 weeks with her pups she wouldn't look after them, so we had to feed the 8 of them. What a bloody mission that was!

yes you shouldn't get the pup until he is 8 weeks. the sooner you take the puppy away the more problems he will have. no pup should be taken that early. if you want the puppy then wait til he turns 8 weeks, and also the breeder needs to be giving the pup his shots before he is sold for health reasons. i breed golden retievers and when i sell my pups, they are not sold til they are 8 weeks and that they have had at least 2 sets of shots. just be careful when getting a puppy because if you get the pup at 8 weeks you want to make sure that the pup has had the 2 sets before leaving the breeders home. when you get one make sure that you take it to the vet right away to be sure that there is nothing wrong with him. ask for a guarantee on the pup and get all the vet copies of the visit. be careful when looking for a puppy, just don't get the puppy til he is 8 weeks.

yes it is, you should wait at least 45 day before taking the away. after you get it try this little trick for it to slep, the puppy is used to hear the mother's heart while sleeping and if it doesnt hear it it will give you a hard night, find one of those old ticking clocks and put it under his/her bedding sheet and that ticking believe it or not assimilates the ticking heart of the mother and puppies will sleep quicker. try it. By the way, taking the dog from mother has nothing to do with behaviour, but immunology, the mothers milk in the first 45 days will be mostly COLOSTRUM that is what will make the pup immune to a lot of sicknesess, Google COLOSTRUM and read a little and see what it does for all animals.

YES! you need to wait until they get fully socialized by the liter mates and mother.
I once got a dog at 5 weeks and he gave us alot of problems because he did not know how to be submissive. We still have the dog but he needs to be kept seperate from people and I really cant trust him around my kids. I recommend that you wait until at least 7 and preferably 8 weeks.

It's still got a lot to learn from its littermates and/or mother: Bite regulation, play vs fighting, submission and dominance... it's just starting on those lessons.
Let the pup stay at LEAST 2 weeks, better if you can wait 5 more weeks.

Puppies *and kittens* should be 8-12 weeks old, before being seperated from the litter & momma. They should also have their 1st set of shots, and maybe their 2nd, by the time they are re-homed, as well.

Yes, this is to early, if you get the dog now at its young of and age the dog is going to grow up to suffer from aggression behaviors that's might have been pretended from one more week with the mother!
