These are the typical precautions you should take before heading out on an outdoor excursion:
1.Know where you are going and get a map of the area
2.Know the weather and be prepared for it
3.Make a trip plan and leave a copy of it with someone who can be trusted
4.Bring the ten essentials plus any overnight/multiday gear you may need
Ten Essentials:
1. Map/Compass
2. Flashlight / Headlamp (with spare batteries/bulb)
3. Extra Water
4. Extra Clothes (Rain Gear)
5. Extra Food
6. First-Aid Kit
7. Pocket Knife or Multi Purpose Tool
8. Waterproof Matches/Fire starter
9. Sunglasses/Sunscreen
10. Whistle/signal mirror
Multi-day/Overnight Gear
1.Shelter (Tent, Tarp or other)
2.Sleeping Bag (appropriate temp rating)
3.Backpack
4.Stove and Fuel
This is a basic list, you may need other things like bug spray, winter travel gear, or other equipment depending on where and when you are traveling. It is always better to travel with a group of 4 or more people so that if one person becomes injured someone can stay with them while allowing at least two people to go for help.

1. Make a list of items you want to take along.
2. Check items off the list as you pack them.
3. go over your list one last time and double check items packed to insure you packed the items.
4. Check the weather to ensure your time out will be pleasant.
I have gone on outings so many times I do things with out thinking about them now and can only come up with my top 4 on the list.
Check your state's parks and wildlife website they should have a listing of things to do before, during and after outings.

Above ANYTHING else you can do to prepare for an outdoor excursion-
ALWAYS TELL SOMEONE TRUSTWORTHY WHERE YOU WILL BE STAYING AND WHEN YOU'LL BE RETURNING!!!
If there's one common theme about outdoor trips gone bad,it's because no one knew where they where or when they'd be returning home.

stable morning, only from adventure and our many adventures to and from i could wait until you get there to e book your day trip for the easy reason once you get on your hotel, house, condominium you may bypass to most of the distributors/sales people on the line and decide for unfastened or little or no funds. I do propose that the adventure which you will bypass on you thoroughly verify it out by utilising the internet trip consultant or something to get a stable concept what's available for the situation you're traveling and what the activities are. quite to verify it is what you have chose to do. stable success have exciting!

Consider these things:
Where are you going?
Are you hiking?
How long will you be gone?
What facilities will be there (is it primitive?)
How far from help will you be?
Are you bringing your own food?
Water?
Weather?
Fire?
Will you be sleeping indoors or outside in a tent?
Medical supplies?
on and on and on............
This list can go on forever. Seriously, you should ask an experienced outdoorsman. If you want to contact me with specifics I'll try to help.
