ok yesterday a guy named travis came to my house with his buddy and i walked in the room and travis said there jane..and mat his buddy looked right at me and smilled and i smilled back and that was it. was matt flurting with me and does he like me ? or not please tell me did i screw up ?

Wow if you worry that much about a little goofy smile, I'm a little worried that you are screwed up!
I generally smile when I meet someone male or female because it's a polite thing. Also if you are smiling over physical attractions, don't worry about whether you like each other or not. A shallow relationship will not go far at all.
Hang out with Matt with other people so you can see how he is normally. If he's a douchebag, then ignore the smiles etc.
