Okay if what you say is true then you should look for another church to attend... Your pastor should not of handled the situation in that way, and if you have a problem go and talk to the other members that you have the problem with... If you feel as though someone has a problem with you then go and confront them and ask them if there is anything that you have done or said that has offended them in anyway... But before you do anything pray about it and leave it in Gods hands, he will deal with it.... And dont stop interacting with people in your church and don't stop taking part in things your not there to please others and make them happy your there to parise the Lord and that is what you should do..

I think it's time to find a church where the Pastor is a able to keep a confidence. His going about the church telling other members about anything you told him is very unprofessional.. You need a church where you can trust the pastor... Jim

Humans have a tendancy to be humans with all the imperfections and flaws that come with it.
If you wish to stay at this church, you will need to ask for a meeting with the pastor and the other member involved.
If this does not work out, then your option is to leave that church to the men who run it as it does not seem as if God is allowed to be in charge there.
Find a church that puts God at its head and believes all inside are servents, not leaders and you will find the peace from God that you are seeking.

You asked your pastor for guidance and he turned other members of the church AGAINST you!?
That's the most horrible thing he could do, and is very unbecoming of a pastor. You should probably bring this up at a church board meeting, because pastors aren't supposed to do that kind of thing.

You really need to talk to your pastor about this and tell him what you just put down if the pastor still acts this way than its time to switch churches cause if they are acting like this it sounds more so like a colt that they have put themselves in and on top of that to ease your mind its not proper for rumors to be at church, church is a place to learn GOD'S word and if this his how your pastor is acting than its time to leave the church. Best wishes to you.

You should loving go to your pastor and try to solve the problem and if you can't get any lead way go to another church. Something similar happened to me. I left the church and now I am in a better church.

Wow, your pastor behaved very unprofessionally and un-Christ-like. I think it's inexcusable how he betrayed your trust like that.
This is not a problem for us Catholics -- especially if you told a priest about such an "indiscretion" during a confession. Any Catholic priest who reveals anything told to him during a confession is automatically excommunicated. Out of the priesthood, and out of the Church.
I'm assuming that your church is of one of the Protestant denominations. Is there a higher authority, such as a bishop or head regional pastor, to whom you can report your pastor's behavior?
I think your pastor owes you an apology. I also think he owes the congregation an apology and an explanation -- if he couldn't keep your secret on the down-low, there's no reason for other parishioners to trust him with their secrets. I hope that's something that they are thinking about.

Leave the church! They have no right to judge you because the pastor has broken your confidence! They sound like hypocrites! People go to church to be helped not because they are perfect!
The important thing is that you trust in God, not the opinions of sinners!

The problem is with your pastor. I could tell you how a pastor should behave, but unless, you are really ready to listen, writing would be a waste of time.
Answer: Find another flock to join. Look for a Shepherd that know how to act. Psalm 23.

This behavior doesn't seem quite right for a Pastor! I would tell him how upset you are, and that he shouldn't have done this; then I'd tell him I was leaving, and find another church! No one should be shunned in a true Christian church!
