There are blue, blue-green, brown (in various shades), white & pink chicken eggs. I was surprised thought you only got various shades between white & brown.

So - it appears there are five different colours - but many shades of brown from reddish, through terracotta to light brown & cream.

chickens can lay brown, white, and green eggs also a blue/green , the brown eggs can be so light in color there almost pink to a chocolate color.

there are white eggs, various shades of brown eggs, and one breed of chicken, the aracauna, lays eggs in pale shades of blue, pink, yellow, and green.(sometimes called easter egg chickens)

Solow has the correct answer but it needs to be added that 'thanks' to modern food technology freaks eggs can be made to come out any color; not just the shell but also the yolk!
