Alyss, thank for being brave enough to ask. You deserve a straight answer. No such thing as a rabbit/hare/jackrabbit with antlers.

Such a critter is called a "jackalope" and is fabricated by imaginative taxidermists to confound the gullible. It is a joke. Some look quite real, though. The idea comes from the fact that male rabbits are called... Bucks!

Rabbit With Antlers

Actually REAL, but not a separate species, and the antlers don't get all big and full like a deers antlers. There is a disease called shope papillomavirus that will cause calcifications to form on the rabbits skull. Almost always small, but they do tend to resemble antlers.

The elusive jackalope has been around for years! In reality, the jackalope is created by a taxidermist. The head or body of a rabbit (jack rabbit) is paired with a small set of deer antlers.

Its a legend. They call them jackelopes (cross between a jackrabbit and an antelope) You may have seen photos of one on postcards, its a joke.
There is a theory that some time ago a disease of some kind caused rabbits to grow tumours on their heads that looked like antlers.

I think you are thinking of a jackalope..they aren't real :0) My grandfather had one in his front yard (a real stuffed rabbit with antlers glued on the head) the neighbors thought it was real for years!

The Jackalope is a very well known old myth, they made them for the amusement of tourists. They actually featured in "World's Fastest Indian" (which is an excellent film).

It is called the jackalope. Most concentrations were reported in the American West. Early settlers often heard them singing in the evening in what was described as a high tenor voice, unusual but not unpleasant.
