After all the are rich men, do you think they are sincere or just pretend to be Godly for the money?

They are not phonies, they are genuine frauds. Religion is the ultimate con, it is government protected, tax free and the product they sell doesn't have to be delivered until you reach a place that doesn't exist. No wonder so many people jump on this manured money wagon.

Personally, I believe them to be sincere. That's what makes them all the more frightening. These people really believe that 9/11 was caused because there are gays in America; that america needs to be a Christian nation, where other religions ought to be discriminated against.

Still, I've been to a Jerry Falwell crusade. I used to watch Pat Robertson. They have always seemed true to their beliefs. I've never seen them caught up in scandal, and they are truly inspirational to their believers. I believe them both to be men of integrity. I simply don't believe as they do.

especially falwell. i think this is one reason why we have so many people on this forum that are down on christianity. they , and others, not all of them, are sending the wrong message.
our Lord Jesus said , " Freely you have receiced , freely give." He didn't sell things to finance His ministry. Instead, in the end , He gave his innocent life. How many televangelists would do that ?
Don't get me started on them quacks and charlatans. They have hijacked the gospel and made it to be a profiteering racket. This is against every teaching of Jesus. If He were here today, He would chastise them more severely than He did when He ran the moneychangers out of the temple. I have no sympathy or empathy for these false prophets and purveyors of a perverted and prostituted gospel.

Yes, For many reasons. Note Falwells praise for Ted Haggard before Haggard was exposed and his denial of even knowing who Haggard was after. A link detailing Falwell is here http://www.rotten.com/library/bio/religion/televangelists/jerry-falwell/

Now Presidential wannabee Pat Robertson is a different kettle of fish totally. Here is a collection of quotes;

and a news story;

and a brief bio.;http://www.defconamerica.org/meet-the-religious-right/pat-robertson-1.html

Honestly I think he is demonic.

They are the only ones who speak the truth. All the other people on TV are there for the money like Benny Hinn And the Dollar Guy. But the two that you mention are not pretending and are not after the money.

I think Jerry Fawell is an amazing man of God and has proven that, in all that he has done for the glory of the Lord Jesus.

I don't like Robertson's theology but believe that he too has done some good things for the kingdom.

I am not a huge fan of either, but I know of no reason to think they are phonies. I can think of several TV evangelists like Robert Tilton who are more likely to make the phony list.

Respect both of them. They have worked hard in the ministry. The media hates them because the left wing looneys have lost a lot of power on account of these two evangelists and others of course.
