I am 12 years old and I have this lump behind my ear and it hurts very badly. I showed my mom and she is getling me in to the doctor as soon as she can. Do you know what this is?

It could be a boil, a swollen glad, an ingrown hair, so many things that are simple to treat and nothing to worry about. It's a good thing your mom is taking you to the dr. though. Better to find out what it is and get rid of the pain then to suffer.
Some times we get swollen glands from a cold or ear infection.
They treat it with antibiotics.
Ingrown hairs cause pimples that hurt.
Just relax and see what the dr. says.

It could be an ingrown hair or a pimple. Glad you're going to the doctor to make sure.

though no one here can say what it is without looking at it, Its probably just a particularly big zit, but yeah, go to the doctor just in case, you'll be ok :)

I'd really have to look at it to be able to tell you. I do think that your mom should take you to your doctor.
