I say you are a good Atheist, who tries to do the moral thing, and when you fail, you apologize and try to make amends. Nothing wrong with you.

No your not, i noticed that you said as an atheist, i'm going to tell you that it's not the people on this earth that you need to be asking forgivness from... Yes it is great that you want others to forgive you for any pain, heartache, grief and etc that you have caused them... But you really need to open your eyes to the Lord and also ask him to forgive you from your blind ways... The devil is the biggest liar and desiever that there is... He wants you to say that there is no God, he wants you to think and live just the way that you are.... You are making him very pleased by the choices that you are making. But he has already lost the battle there is nothing left for him to do other than to bring down people, and make them think lies, live lies, and breath lies and be lies... The Devil is more knowlegeable of the Bible than any man that walks the face of the earth. He can tell you every single word of the Bible and he knows that he hasn't a chance... He is doomed God holds the Key and he knows that... He just needs fuel, followers of him, anyone that will go against the word of God... He believes that he is getting revenge on God for doing that... But there will be a time when everybody that has, does or will walk this earth will answer to God the judgement day is coming and coming in the twinkling of an eye... There will be no turning back then and souls will be lost... People will be burning in the bottomless pit of the lake of fire and brimstone with the master of all desevers... Satan himself... Don't make that mistake, God is real and everlasting... All you have to do is ask, just seek him he will come and you will see...

A believer would say this:
1)You have offended people, and in the process, sinned against God.
2)You have asked for and received the forgiveness of those you offended.

But you have neither asked for, nor received forgiveness from God for sinning against Him. Therefore, you are not clean from sin, only from the offense towards your fellow man. The sin issue remains in place.

So you mean you have not offended God because you don't believe in Him?
If being clean from sin was your goal ( that was your question!)-it would be foolish to be an atheist. Don't you think?

Your question indicates that you admit you have sinned.
When you sin in any way, you also are sinning against God. Have you asked Him for forgiveness?
You say you're an atheist, so I guess you're not going to ask for forgiveness from someone you don't believe exists so no, you are not clean from sin.

Only you know the answer to that question ... don't ask others. There are those who will say "no" because that is their doctrine and the way they've been taught. But that is only ONE opinion. There are many other opinions that will say, YES you are clean from sin. The key is your attitude going forward and how you live your life in love of yourself and others. The answer is within YOU.

Many blessings to you in your quest for truth...

You might have received forgiveness from meer people, but as an atheist, did you ask God to forgive you. God is the one you need to worry about forgiving you not me or any being on this earth. I'm not perfect but I do know God and I do pray to Him alone to forgive me of my sins. I do have to apologize to someone once in a while, but I am not looking to them to cleanse me of my sins.

I'm glad you have sought to be reconciled with people you have offended. For every person you offended, you offended God. You've offended Him even more by turning your back on Him. He loves you and doesn't turn His back on you. Won't you be reconciled with Him too? Then you'll be really clean. He gave His only Son so you could be reconciled to Him.

Biblically you would not be able to believe that you have sinned against anyone in the first place.

You may believe that you have wronged them and asked for forgiveness, but to believe in the concept of sin, you would have to believe in our God whom the definition of sin is anything in disobedience to him.

I know that you do not believe, but biblically you have a creator, we call him God. It is through him, that even you, an unbeliever are even here in the first place. Worship and honor that which created you for it also has the power to destroy you.

as an atheist you are instantly clean from sin, cause you'll understand the only forgiveness, or bad memory is all that can save you =)

That's why as an atheist you must treat people right the first time around....no invisible boogie man can set your mind at ease and make everything alright with an 'on yer knees wish'

be well
