I cannot understand why we have to pay more out of our taxes for these people when the money should be spent on proper Police Officers.
I find most of those that I have met to be very rude and offensive and all they seem to do is pretend they are real Policemen/Women.
All we need on this country (UK) is a professional well paid police force able to do the job by getting out of their high powered cars and back on the street where they belong rather, than getting part timers to do their work for them.

There are over 4 million surveilence cameras in London alone. Some of them are being equiped with speakers so they can yell orders.
These are the "plastic policemen".

Ok, I'm not in the UK, I'm in the US. We use them here and I think they are great. They free up the "real police officers" to be doing the jobs they need to be doing.

waste of time and money ,incidentally in the local shopping centre here they used to have cardboard policemen(life size ) at the entrance and exit ,the theory was they would somehow stop shoplifting ,hilarious!

Oh, you mean the hobby bobbies. I only know one 'cos i don't talk to regular police. He use to work for the AA (automobile association) but now works in 'crackney' (hackney) gets about £25,000 a year i think. I don't have a criminal record myself but wouldn't do it. I don't trust the police.

i take it you mean the ones inside supermarkets and a like,i think they are realistic(honest),it turns me off of shop-lifting(not that i do!),just knowing they are there,as one day we`ll be lucky and actually see a real policeman on the street walking around instead of just sitting in their panda cars
