i just bought my desktop and im useing my laptop to just surf the internet i need updates for my desktop the product key was for my desktop i couldnt find a serial that worked

If you only purchased one license, it is illegal to use it on more than one PC. If you wish to be legal, you will have to purchase a second license.

The license says that you can use it on 1 computer.
I have it on 3, BUT I only use ONE AT A TIME, so I have no problem.
You should NOT have any problem updating, since the OS has no way to distinguish between a desktop and a laptop.

nothing will happen..but it's illegal to used one serial number for two computers..
