Start off with small goals and do whatyou are WILLING TO KEEP UP WITH!
I lost 44 lbs and did the following:
- Pilates (I did winsor but any kind is fine)
- Get a swiss ball (big bouncy ball) and find exerises online, or with the ball, or in a fitness magazine
- Get resistance bands and use the while watching tv. You can do your arms, back, etc.
- Find a cardio DVD that you enjoy - there are TONS! Yoga bootie ballet, step aerobics (I step on a short bench... never bought a step b/c I am cheap), tae bo, carmen electra's cardio striptease, salsa, hip hop, etc. !!!
Eating is such a big part of it, so get on track with that.
- A book I highly recommend for diet and easy AT HOME workouts is THE ABS DIET by David Zinczenko. It is flourescent orange and available at all bookstores. Some grocery stores too.

well my advice is simple, go in a diet. most people loose pounds just by eating healthy and do some minimal exercises. you have to stop the intake of fat and burn the fat you already have to loose weight. there are all sort of healthy eating books that can help you achieve that goal. you'll look better and fell better if you work out and eat healthy in the long run. if you plan to work out the quickest way to shed the pounds is with a cardiovascular workout for 15-25 mins.

First off record the amount of calories you intake daily. Then burn more thatn you intake. It sounds a bit too simple but it really is that simple. Weight Watchers has a whole program to let you keep your intake to a goal. Then use home gyms or professional gyms that monitor calorie burning on systems like ellyptical crosstraining machines or treadmills and burn slightly more than your intake.

20 lbs is a cakewalk. Reduce your caloric intake by 500 calories a day, below your current mainenance level, and you will lose a pound a week. Remember, every lb equals 3,500 calories. Everytime you burn more than you consume, you are going to lose.

An eliptical machine is fantastic. If you cannot afford one or go to the gym, try walking, jumping rope or dancing around in your home.
