Suicide whether attempted or just talked about is a cry for help and/or attention. He needs to talk to someone who can help, whether it's parents, friends, school counselors, doctors, priest, etc. If you say something to someone, he might get mad. But if you don't say anything and he does it, that would be hard to live with for the rest of your life.

MOST people who keep saying they are going to kill themselves, don't actually do it. It's more for attention or a cry for help. I would get a hold of someone for him to talk to so that he DON'T do this. However, SOME people that do keep saying this over and over will kill themselves. Everyone is different. Just have him seek professional help IMMEDIATELY. OK? Do it before it's too late.

I had an ex-boyfriend who told me that he was going to give up on life. I told him to stop talking like that. I felt like calling his Mom but stopped myself and then the very next morning she called me and said "You don't have to worry about Andy's annoying calls anymore. He killed himself last night." OH how I wish that I had listened to him How I wish that I called his Mom! Please get your friend help believe him. Don't take this to lightly!
