Everyone will most likely say photographer. I will agree to a point, but I am actually being more particular on the food and beverages. I want the food that I am going to be serving my guests to be wonderful. If i had to rate them in importance to me it would have to be:

1. food
2. photographer
3. decorations/location

Everything else I am flexible with...

Photographer! please please don't get a crappy photographer. You will want the best pictures possible, because really that's all that you have to remember the actual wedding. Spend the bucks!

My daughter got married in May, and our photographer backed out at the last minute, and we had to hire someone from the phonebook. It was a destintation wedding so I was up against a wall. This was a mistake, I wished I had forked over the extra $500 another photographer wanted to travel plus his expenses.
Luckily, my cousin got some great shots! Or, I would be more upset than I am.

Every bride has something she has just got to have, as well as the groom to make their perfect day the most perfect. My daughter's was a carrot cake wedding cake. My son-in-laws was the food had to be from this one place that he just adored. I was able to give them each their "special request". I hope you can have your dream wedding with all the extras that every bride deserves.

Have the most happiest wonderful wedding possbile.

God bless us all.............

Honestly, I am pretty flexible about everything. What matters more than anything is that we're going to be married! I don't feel like I need this huge amazing celebration because the best thing to come of it will be my husband! I'm not even worried about the pictures (of course I want SOME nice ones) because the best memories will be in my mind and heart!

Just remember that you're getting married because you're in love with someone that you want to spend the rest of your life with. Everything else is second to that one beautiful thing! If you want your wedding to be memorable to your guests, let your love, happiness, and sincerity shine and you'll have the most memorable wedding ever, whether it's in your backyard or a castle in Europe.

Although once you start getting quotes on photographers, your mouth will drop...remember that your photos will hold the best memories of one of the biggest days of your life.

I will definitely say a great photographer is an item to not budge on.

Also, a dress that makes you look and feel good. While you don't have to spend $10K to be happy....you will hate it if you don't like how you look in your photos or video.

Good luck on your wedding!

Black polka dots on my wedding cake. My mother and I have had rounds over it, but my bridesmaids have black dresses with white polka dots on them, so I want to reverse it for my cake and tie that in on the reception. I didn't want the same ole cake I've seen a million times, and I'm not having it! I also am insistent on a fountain underneath it, and it has to be really tall.

We also are having bbq at the reception, which some think we're crazy for, but we are a really laid back couple and our wedding is gonna be at dinner time, and its gonna be time to eat, and I want REAL food! Its gonna make our wedding more "us".

I will NOT have 38475 songs in my ceremony, I want to be in and out of there married in 15 mins if that's at all possible. I wanna go in, say my stuff, and go start life, Ive been in 45 min wedding before, and people were very obviuosly like "COME ON, is this thing gonna end?"

Ive got way more, but these seem to be things that seem to catch more people off-guard! I'm bridezilla! 124 days to go! lol!

There are two things that make a great wedding: a good photographer and amazing flowers.

People remember a wedding with great flowers because, aesthetically, that is what makes a gorious wedding. You will remember the beautiful day by the great pictures.

I beg of you: don't skimp on the flowers and the photographer.

A good photographer!!! Planning for 9 months, all the money that goes into it and all we will have left is a day full of memories! I will spend extra money to make sure those memories are captured wonderfully!!!

Some elements you should cut corners on are having an open bar and hiring a band instead of a DJ.
