I am Christian.
My Mom died of pancreatic cancer last year.
NO MEDICINE the Docs gave her worked for anything.
One night, i went out on the patio and prayed.
My nerves were frazzled. I was physically tired. I was taking care of her at home, and couldn't get more than 2 hrs sleep and was watching my mom vomit, writhe in agony, and not eat or drink. She was going into renal failure.
God spoke to me and told me He had made a plant just for this.
I asked a neighbor guy who looked like a doper (I've known a few in my life) and he got some smoke for me.
My Mom's meds started to work almost immediately.
She got her appetite back. She stopped being nauseous 24/7.
One little "weed" was better than all the meds put together. And my prayers for her began to get answered.
This experience has made me think medical marijuana is no joke, it's real. Why is it considered evil?

EDIT:
the Dr's gave me marinol (THC in pill form) it made her throw up like everything else by mouth). Giving it rectally was out of the question (will NOT share reasons here), so if they prescribed it as a pill, I figgered it was ok to smoke it.
For those who said they were glad she's feeling better, I said she is DEAD. Please read more thoroughly when answering sensitive Q's.
If you understand this please visit this website and lend whatever support you think will meet your ethical standards. IT helps cancer patients. I know for an empirical fact.

God did not say anything about smoking cigarettes or weed in his law. Sin is not dancing smoking or driinking. Sin is simply doing your owm will.
Mans holidays, going to church on sunday. Everything that is contrary to the lords word. Everything God has commanded man to do the Roman Catholic church has turned upside down.
1Jo 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
Isa 29:16 Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?
This verse means exactly what it says.

I saw that recent question and thought it was kind of odd because why wouldnt someone believe something right in front of their eyes if it was straight out proven. But then what is the definition of proven? I get why people are atheists. I dont get why people are anti religion. I think most atheists are atheists because they just cant believe in something like a God when there is no real proof of a God and every historical references to religion and God after time tends to sound a little antiquated and primitive. I think most anti religion atheists have just had some bad experiences with some religious people or a religion and have a chip on their shoulder. I think actually very few have died specifically due to religion that wouldnt have died had religion never existed. Every war and persecution committed by a group or a nation had everything to do with greed and power and very little to do with religion. Had religion never existed, all the wars still would have occured, imo. They just would have been fought under a diff banner. People always like to say how many bad things were done by religious people, but then they also discount all the good, too. Religion has done a lot to help humanity as well. Non christian gvts, like communism, that specifically made sure religion was ousted from the country, have killed far far more people in the history of the world then so called religious wars and persecution.

I am sorry to hear of your mom’s passing.
I don’t think there is any real difference between legal pain killer meds and smoke. They both hide portions of consciousness for awhile and then return the user back to the place he started. I think people consider it evil because it typically will lead the weak minded person on to other forms of substance abuse and it is easier to get hold of than prescription meds.

I think it's considered evil because makes money for the wrong kind of people, and our society has deemed it illegal.
There is all kinds of issues and points on this subject, for and against.
It would be a good thing to remember that prohibition outlawed alcohol, and for a while it was no different that marijuana is now.

High five to you on your mom's positive response to the weed. That's an awesome story. (And not the first I've heard.,)
Just so you know, the Bible says nothing about marijuana being evil. Yes, it can be abused, but it also has a purpose.

I'm a christian as well,my mom had breast cancer 1st and she wanted to try pot to help with how sick she was.I found some for her and it helped her as well.I believe God made pot for medicinal purposes. But like anything people misuse it.My mom died of lung cancer almost 16 years ago, about 14 years after the breast cancer was cured. So Believe me I know how you feel.I think it should be legal for such purposes. If God spoke to you,and you had results trust HIS voice to you.

Did you inform the doctors about this? If so, what was their response? You might want to be careful. It is possible that some drugs don't react well to others and can bad side effects down the road.
I glad your mother's feeling better.

I'm a Christian and I totally agree with medicinal marijuana. I think of it along the same lines as demerol, morphine, etc.
Soooo sorry to hear about what you and your mom had to go through.

yes in some states this is prescribed for cancer patients but this does not mean its ok to be spending your life getting stone the Bible says there will be no drunkards in heaven it also says give strong drink to those who are perishing if it is against the law it is wrong but one day to it will be against the Law to follow Gods Law everything has a reason, and a purpose under heaven.
