Can a teacher walk me to the deans' office like 20 minutes after the bell to go home has rang? Because she walked me there and when we got there she wrote me a referral for 'goofing off' but I was walking with my friends to get off campus, and she also said I was lying to her... I think this is stupid, can I fight this referral?

Also, I was walking to 6th period the other day, and my other teacher was out there just standing there, like she was waiting for me or something, and she said, 'C'mon let's go to the deans' office'.. and it was for being late to class, but she's not even the teacher to the class I was late in ! Is this jacked up, can I fight this? Please help.

Tell your parents to the first one if you really did goof off then yes you can get in trouble because your still on school property but if you didnt do anything but just was walking then no thats wrong and you can fight it.to the second one if you have been late multiple times and the teacher has warned you then yes she can do it either way.

If you are on school property, and especially if you are a student @ that particular school, not to mention, probably a minor, then yes, they have every right to ask you to come into the Dean's office. Now there maybe a chance (and this is only if your parents or guardian will back you up on this) that you can fight against the Dean taking you to the office after school was out. Why aren't you allowed to goof off if school is out? What kind of goofing were you doing when you were accosted by the Dean? Ir sounds to me like you are not following the procedures very closely and then in turn are trying to do something about it after hte fact. What you need to do is follow the rules and leave the campus asap after school, because then you are technically in your parents care as soon as you do. Are all of the other students having the same issues or just a few of you? If you are being singled out, I wonder if your track record speaks for itself.

You did not specify how old you are or what grade you are in but I am assuming that you are at least in middle school if you have periods in your day. I would sit down with your parents and explain to them the situation just like you explained it here. I know parents have a tendency to believe teachers over their own children but I think if you explain it to them in a calm adult manner they should listen to you. Ask them for their help in talking to the dean about this situation. I would not mention the teacher hating you though because it just sounds like you are trying to get out of trouble. If the teacher has done this to you before or does it again I would document all the occurances to take to your parents and the dean. It sounds as though you are being treated unfairly and this needs to be brought to the attention of an adult immediately. Just make sure that you continue to treat this teacher with respect no matter what they do to you. It will help your case and make you the better person in the long run. Good Luck!

Get over it. Of course they can on school property.

The major part of your education at school is to learn self discipline & how to play well with others, especially superiors. Everything else is secondary.

I forgot. Most of all, you are there to learn to take responsibility for your actions. Sounds like you need some remedial help there. From your comeback, you seem upset. Good. Being upset is the first step in learning a new truth.

Tell your parents to talk to the dean and the teacher. Sounds like she's picking on you.

as long as your on school property she can. Have you ask your parents to go talk to her and the dean with you, so you can resolve this situtation.

Have you talked to your parents? I think they should help you on this one. Sounds half unfair.
