Its better in person, but thats only an option if y'all see eachother in person all the time. Depends on the situation I guess, but at least with it being in person, you can see her reaction.

In my opinion, I don't think it would matter to the girl because if she feels the same way, then she will just be happy to know that you told her. I think i read a statistic that like 86.4% of girls are waiting for the guys to say something, and if that's true, i dont think online or in person would matter (but in person may be a bit more meaningful)

online she can't tell...she'll think you're joking, or not take you seriously, or think you're a wimp...so many negative things and nothing cute about it. toughen up and do it like it's meant to be done. trust me, it'll end up much better for everybody.

if you did it online you wouldn't be able to see it behind your computer.
do it in person, you'll feel better about it and she'll think you have guts.

if you tell her online its so much easier but if you do it to her face it will be better because ur brave
