My friends boyfriend of 5 months is acting kind of fishy. His ex still calls and he still communicates with her. What should she do?

Dump him now, before you get anymore invested into the relationship emotionally. Your gut instinct telling you something is "fishy" comes from information based on years of your experiences just under the surface and usually is never wrong. Obviously he is not totally in the present time with you, with the ex still sniffing around.

Some people can still be friends with their exes. If he starts disappearing, and coming home late from work an stuff(you know, the usual "cheat" scenario), then its time for her to dump him. But as far as just talking, nah. Now, lunch dates or any type of face to face interaction is where I, personally would draw the line, but until then, I think just talking is ok. But there are way more jealous people out there than me too. So, I think its her call.

If it were me and I even had a little bit of a susupicion that my guy was acting or smelling kinda fishy I would just dump him! I don't care if it was 2 minutes, 2 days, 2 months, or even 2 years! I deserve better than that, and I will settle for nothing less. What does she consider her worth?

She should ask herself if she wants a fishy-acting boyfriend who still calls and communicates with his ex.

How soon after the he and the ex broke up did they get together? Also, how long were they together? Has your friend ever met her?

My boyfriend is still friends with an ex or two but I have met them and have no reason to feel akward about it. But I have also been the 'rebound girl' in past relationships. There were definitely warning signs. Tell her to ask him to introduce her. His reaction will be telling. Also, always trust your gut! It's usually right.

Your 'friend' needs to call the ex herself and ask her what is going on...if she says they are talking of getting back together then guess its time to dump the boyfriend

is your friend in the room when the ex calls ? she could listen in to the call . if the answers to to the ex include hmmm, yeah , not sure, yes and no actual conversation ,i would assume something is going on between them . tell your friend to ask him outright if something is going on between them and does he want to go back to her . there is nothing like fronting the situation up front to bring it all out into the open ,at least she will know where she stands . if he denies it i would either tell him to move out or move out herself .telling him she can only live with one person at a time she is not into sharing he boyfriend with the ex.

She needs to tell him to choose. Unless it's an ex wife with kids, there's no reason to keep up with an ex girlfriend.

my girlfriend still talks to her ex, and i'm fine with it. if hes hidding it thats a different story. she should just question him on it. if he says nothing is going on you'll have to trust him, but if you find hes not telling the truth dump him.
