Indices is the plural of Index.

Some words taken into English from Greek still form their plural the Greek way. Those ending in "x" drop the "x" and any vowel before the "x" and then add "ices"

Index - Indices
Appendix - Appendices
Vertex - Vertices
Apex - Apices.

You will also sometimes see the Anglicized plurals for many - Indexes, Appendixes, etc. Generally, formal or terchnical writing will always use the "ices" plurals. Less formal writing may use either.

It's the plural form (more than one) of index.
