The best way to resolve this question is to just out of nowhere talk to him. Ask him how is he doing. Or just say hi and once he says hi back just take it slow. If he likes you he will want to continue the conversation. But sweeti you are still young and these things will come and go. I went through the same thing when i was in 8th grade. I liked this boy who was a freshman but i was shy to talk to him. After about 2 weeks of being gutless i braved myself up and talked to him. We set together at lunch and talked the whole lunch hour and at the end of that time i realized that all he was, was a crush. I got over him and i moved on. Don't rush into anything sweeti your leaving yourself open for a let down. And it sucks being hurt. Let him notice you. That is the easiest way to do it. Good Luck and i wish you a very bright future. Go for the gold and stay in school.

How about confessing, he may already noticed you but you do not know about it.

Because being shy, it will be hard to do any other thing to get him to notice you so just confessing will let him know your feelings.

But sorry to say this, you must be prepared to accept any rejection.
