Eat food containing a lot of carbs before you go boozing...such as pasta, bread, etc. This stuff will help you absorb the alcohol a little more slowly and consistently. Also if you drink "a lot" make sure you are taking a multi-vitamin every morning, you could be loosing a lot of minerals and vitamins via drinking.

Try only drinking beer, no hard stuff, it obviously has less alcohol content and should help.

Also if you can, try chugging a few glasses of water throughout your drinking nights.

Good luck, be safe!!

I know the feeling, in college I always wanted to have a big time, and several nights couldn't remeber the ending. I found that after a few hours of drinking, take a little break, chug a bottle of water or 2 and then commence to having a few more cocktails at a slower pace. Also, before I went to bed, I would always drink as much water as I could get down, and take a B12 vitamin. Give it a try, it will help to rehidrate your body while you sleep.

If you are blacking out then leave college now or stop drinking.
Your brain's frontal lobes are shutting down because of alcohol
poisoning. That means that you are doing your brain great damage and are getting stupider each time. It won't be long before you will have memory problems.
I know that isn't what you want to hear but it is the truth.

I am an alcoholic and I began blacking out a lot. It got worse and worse. When i tried to quit I couldn't. I ended up going to AA. That keeps me from drinking. That is only my experience. I would never tell you what to do or say .

You really should cut down on your drinking. If you are blacking out you may not remember if you've ever been assaulted, you could get behind the wheel of a car or you could fall asleep and choke/drown on your own vomit. Wise up!

If you are that stupid you will most certainly be flunking out of college soon. There is of course only one answer to that inane question, and you know what it is. Try a few months worth of AA while your still conscious.

If you are blacking out you are suffering from alcohol poisoning and you are getting brain damage.

Aside from that, a large meal heavy in FATS, not carbohydrates will slow the metabolism of alcohol, since your liver plays a key roll in metabolising fats, AND alcohol, it will metabolize the fats first.

Try eating while your drinking. Munch all night and add something filling, like a meat or potatoes. Trust me it does help.
