No... Who told you that? I lived in Africa for 12 years and people had tons of vultures all around their houses looking for anything that was thrown out.. UGLY creatures but NO.. no hold in the top of the head.. sorry.

Again no. They often have bald heads because of the parasites in the dead animals make their feathers fall off. No hole in the head, the pull out of the body from time to time to breathe.

No, they have no hole on top of their head...they just breath through their mouth like any other bird.
