I don't think we should allow society to dictate age restrictions in relationships. There is a 21 year age gap between my boyfriend and I (I'm 27). I have never been happier in my life. Just like with any relationship, it needs to have the essentials like trust, understanding, communication, interests, goals, etc. If those elements are in place, then nothing else matters. Love is the greatest feeling in the world, and age shouldn't stop anyone from experiencing it.

That's asking everyone to fit into a certain mold and it's assuming that everyone of...say...23 has the same mentality. It's all dependent on the person, their maturity and how they feel about the age difference. Huge gaps work for some, not so for others. Acceptable is relative and shouldn't be open to public opinion (this excludes anyone who isn't an adult by the way).

There's a certain formula for so called 'public acceptance'.
- The man got to be older.
- To get the minimum age for the woman, divide the man's age by 2 then add 7 years. Example, (14/2)+7=14 or (22/2)+7=18

I don't think you can put an age restriction on a relationship. Love knows no age. I know people that have dated someone younger than them and I know people that have dated someone 15 years older than them and they have all worked out just fine.

Well...my 88 year old grandfather re-maired my dead grandmothers nurse from the hospital (grrrrrr die ***** die! don't like my step granda)....and well, she's in her late 50's early 60's....so i think less than 20 year differance is a better bet.
Probably 1-10 (ish) years

it doesn't matter, im 20 my husband is 28, we love eachother as much as 2 people ever could. As long as your both legal and cool with it and don't lie about your age, things should be okay.

As long as y'all are legal age, it shouldnt matter. If you both love eachother who cares what other people think or say. Good luck!
