I have a soon to be 7 yr old daughter that has had many frequent fevers for the past 18 months - she has had many blood tests that don't show any signs of infection -- the doctor we take her to says that its not recommended to do an MRI -- what else can we do ?

GO TO A DIFFERENT DOCTOR... if you think something is wrong.. it usually is... don't waste your time with doctors that dont know what they are doing and are not curious enough about your daughter's symptoms to find out.

Have you tried to get a second opinion? Multiple fevers indicate something is wrong in your child's body. Whether her body is fighting some kind of infection or something. Take your child to another pediatric doctor or to the ER to get checked out. She may have an underlying physical condition that no one is aware of. At least go and have her checked out for her as well as your peace of mind.

Good luck and I hope she feels better soon!

My daughter got fevers all the time. We figured out that she had kidney and bladder problems through ultra sound. There were no other signs. Maybe ask that she see a specialist. You may want another doctor to check her out also.

Wow, that is distressing for you I am sure. I would get a second opinion if I were you. Fevers can be serious. In the mean time a slightly warm bath will help her cool down to sleep at night. Good luck.

My son was very sick and it ended up being his tonsils that made him so sickly we had to take them out. Does she have a problem with sore throats
