Christian Rock? is it blessing or blasphemy?

Its a blessing... Its spreading the Gospel to our youth. I myself prefer contemp christian and praise and worship.

Any type of music that is honoring to God is a blessing. Is it honoring? I'd say yeah because think of all those people who were rock junkies that learned the love of Christ through christian rock.

It is a great tool for worshipping God, there are 7 ways to praise.
It is about the words, seriously, if you want to see me get violent leave me on hold listening to classic music (well I don't get violent but boy does it frustrate me.)
Is it of God, well music is music it is a carrier of a message - generally words.
"Christian rock is evil" stems from the fact that the electric guitar when played backwards sounds like it says satan, and other sentences stuctured to make words to those effects. If you play it forwards and worship God then it is a tool for God.

It is blasphemy...not against God, but against rock.
It is a perversion of what Rock & Roll is supposed to be.
The music sucks, the lyrics suck and the attitude sucks.
Rock should involve awesomeness and quite possible fire.
Ned Flanders will never be rock.

Read the lyrics. Find out the testimony of the band members.
I prefer Christian Rock and I'm old.....

I think it's a blessing because the Christians who don't really like the oldies or hymns, they could listen to those instead. =)

Like in everything you have to be careful of what you put out there... I think chrisitian rock is deffinatly a blessing

blessing...it's the only thing some listion to...if you count Newsboys as C.Rock, Then they led me to Christ in a testomony at their concert
