Yes you can. I would suggest, however, if you want to use them in a pie, that you pre bake the crust and then pour the filling into the shell. Put a streusal topping over it or just serve and top with whipped or ice cream. For crisps, crumbles, the canned apples work just fine. Happy Baking!

For crumbles and collbler, yes. For pies , no. You need fresh crisp apples for your pies. If you use the canned ones you get apples in your pie that are mushy.

Absolutely, the best thing about canned apples is that they are already made for you all the sugar and thickening agents. the only think I might suggest is adding a bit of cinnamon, and the other good thing about canned apples they don't shrink when you put them in a pan or a pie!

you can always substitute canned fruit for fresh fruit. It just doesn't take as long to cook.
